the desires to have name and fame make us hard, and that destroys the softness of our nature. only those , who have the feeling of renunciation from the the mundane pleasures and have kindness/compassion towards all living beings, can cross this world.pride of knowledge is of no use. the purpose of acquiring knowledge is to reduce /give up pride or arrogance . ego is a negative thoughts and to become PERFECT PRIDELESSNESS.
